Injuries Sustained in Forest Ranch Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 32 near Forest Ranch Road

FOREST RANCH, CA (January 25, 2022) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Richard Swerda after a head-on crash on Highway 32.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 32, west of Forest Ranch Road.

Reports revealed that a Toyota veered into the path of a Ford. Then, the Ford driver attempted to make a left turn to avoid the collision. However, the Toyota turned right and collided head-on with the Toyota. Afterward, the Toyota driver fled the scene.

Moreover, officials confirmed that six people involved in the crash sustained minor to major injuries. The patients included a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old.

Authorities identified 21-year-old George Jarrell, 19-year-old Odell Riggins and 19-year-old Johnathan Monday as occupants of the Ford. The identity of the 17 and 15-year-old were being withheld by authorities. Also, paramedics transported all patients to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.

Furthermore, authorities managed to locate and arrest the Toyota driver, 38-year-old Richard Swerda of Forest Ranch.

Meanwhile, officers believed that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
