Michigan Man Dies in Glamis Off-Road Vehicle Crash
Glamis, CA (March 25, 2023) – At about 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, 61-year-old Richard Nading from Sunnyside, Washington, was injured in a UTV crash in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area killing a 68-year-old Michigan man.
A 2021 Polaris Razor driven by Nading overturned as it descended a dune embankment and his passenger, the Michigan man, died in the accident.
Nading incurred major injuries and was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Investigating officers said Nading and his passenger were both wearing safety restraints but neither one was wearing a helmet.
Meanwhile, the CHP and the Imperial County Coroner’s Office are investigating the Glamis off-road vehicle crash.
