WSP Investigates Fatal Traffic Accident on US Highway 101
Grays Harbor County, WA (December 4, 2023) On Friday morning, 76-year-old Richard Dowse of Hoquiam died after a traffic accident on US Highway 101.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the tragic collision happened around 9:50 a.m. on US Highway 101.
Reports say that Dowse was on a southbound vehicle headed toward Aberdeen in Grays Harbor County, as he turned left near Hensel Road, his vehicle was hit by a log truck, headed in the same direction behind his vehicle.
Officials say that the 66-year-old log truck driver attempted to pass Dowse’s vehicle on the left, unfortunately, the log truck collided with Dowse’s vehicle. Officials pronounced Dowse dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the fatal traffic accident and have not released further information at this time.
