64-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Rose Avenue
Ceres, CA (Aug. 9, 2023) – On Monday night, 64-year-old Ricardo Meza of Ceres sustained fatal injuries following a Whitmore Avenue accident.
The authorities said Ricardo Meza was walking north across Whitmore Avenue at Rose Avenue minutes before 9 p.m.
Unfortunately, Meza was struck by a westbound 2007 Chevy Tahoe before reaching the north side of the street.
Meza sustained major head trauma and was transported to Doctors Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. According to public records, Meza lived approximately seven blocks from the crash scene.
The Tahoe driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
In the meantime, drugs are and/or alcohol are not suspected factors in the accident.
