2 Teens Hurt in 2-Vehicle Collision on North Antelope Road
Antelope, CA (September 22, 2023) On Wednesday, 16-year-old boy Reuben Anikhimik died and 2 other teens were hurt after a 2-vehicle crash on North Antelope Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened along Antelope just east of North Antelope Road.
Reports say that Anikhimik was driving a westbound sedan with 2 passengers, a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, when Anikhimik suddenly changed lanes in front of a pickup truck heading west.
Officials say that Anikhimik lost control of his vehicle and struck a pole. Medics rushed all 3 teens to a hospital, all 3 teenagers suffered major injuries. Meanwhile the driver of the pickup escaped injuries.
Authorities confirmed the Anikhimik died of his injuries on Thursday, and the girl was still in the hospital.
