DELANO, CA (June 17, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, Regina Chadon died and a person sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 65 and Highway 155.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 3:57 p.m. Moreover, it transpired on Highway 65 at Highway 155.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound gray Honda Accord traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it veered over the double yellow lines towards the northbound lanes.
 
Meanwhile, a northbound 2021 Nissan attempted to avoid a collision by steering to the right. However, the Honda struck the left front side of the Nissan.
 
The Honda finally came into rest in the northbound lane while facing southbound. The Nissan came to rest east of the roadway, in a dirt field.
 
Furthermore, authorities pronounced 31-year-old Porterville woman Regina Chadon, who drove the Nissan, dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, Kern County Fire rushed to the scene and extricated a driver trapped inside a vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the 52-year-old Lamont man to Kern Medical with major injuries.
