Car Hits Motorcycle on Highway 101 in Redwood City, Complaint of Pain Reported
REDWOOD CITY, CA (January 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hurt following a traffic collision with a car Saturday afternoon in Redwood City.
The collision happened around 12:14 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 at Woodside Road off-ramp.
According to the CHP, a silver Cadillac hit the motorcycle for unknown reasons. The impact sent both the bike and rider down on the roadway.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and found the rider lying in the slow lane with a complaint of pain to the back.
The Cadillac was on the right shoulder with major front-end damage.
Towing services were requested to remove both the motorcycle and sedan from blocking the highway.
The incident is still on active investigation while the authorities are putting the pieces together.
