Tragic Rear-End Crash on El Rancho Drive Results in Fatality [Sparks, NV]

Sparks, NV (May 8, 2023) On Sunday morning, a rear-end crash on El Rancho Drive left a person dead and several others injured.

Sparks Police says that the deadly hit-and-run accident happened at about 5 a.m. at the intersection with Oddie Boulevard.

Officials say that a high-speeding vehicle struck a car that was stopped at the light going northbound on El Rancho at Oddie. The impact of the crash pushed the vehicle into the intersection.

The struck vehicle consequently collided with another vehicle in the next line. Authorities say that the occupants of the suspect vehicle and the second vehicle that was hit fled on foot.

Paramedics say that 4-5 people from the first car that got hit from behind, were transported to the hospital in serious condition. Officials pronounced a person dead at the scene.

Police are currently searching for the suspects and are urging witnesses to come forward and assist in apprehending them.
