Passenger Raulito Alarcon Dies in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 111 [Palm Springs, CA]

Palm Springs, CA (November 19, 2024) – 32-year-old Raulito Alarcon of Yucaipa was killed in a suspected DUI crash on Highway 111 early Saturday morning.

It was about 2:30 a.m. when the deadly traffic crash happened north of Overture Drive.

Investigators said an Acura was northbound on the freeway in an unknown lane when it left the roadway. The vehicle then traveled west onto the dirt center median and overturned multiple times before it rested on its roof.

CHP said a passenger in the vehicle, Raulito Alarcon, was partially ejected during the collision. The authorities declared him dead at the scene while the driver was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs with major injuries.

The authorities suspect alcohol was a factor in this collision.
