Fatal Motorcycle Accident near Chimney Rock Road

 
RANCHITA, CA (March 28, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon, following a traffic collision on Montezuma Valley Road.
 
Officers received calls about the fatal accident around 12:16 p.m. First responders arrived to the scene near Chimney Rock Road soon after.
 
Authorities identified the two involved vehicles as a Lexus and a motorcycle. Due to the impact of the collision, the rider was consequently ejected from his motorcycle.
 
Paramedics were quickly called to the scene for needed medical attention. The rider was found suffering from major injuries upon medics arrival. He was eventually taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of his family members.
 
Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident are unclear at this time. It is currently unknown if charges has been filed and if liability has been determined. Further investigation is underway.
