22-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fresno Wrong-Way Accident on Clovis Avenue and Central Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (May 15, 2022) – Early Saturday, Ramon Vasquez sustained injuries in a deadly crash on Clovis Avenue and Central Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Clovis Avenue and Central Avenue.
 
According to the preliminary investigation, the 22-year-old woman drove a Nissan Altima. As she traveled south in the No. 1 northbound lane of Clovis Avenue, she crashed head-on with 32-year-old Ramon Vasquez. Moreover, Vasquez drove a Toyota Rav4 at the time of the crash.
 
As a result, the Nissan rolled over and stopped in the lane and on the center driver.
 
Also, officers confirmed that the Clovis woman failed to wear a seat belt.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
