Rachel Odima Dies in Multi-Car Accident on Highway 97 Near Highway 2

WENATCHEE, WA (May 30, 2019) – A 20-year-old woman died Sunday in a multi-car accident on Highway 97 near Highway 2.

Washington State Troopers and paramedics responded to the scene around 1:55 a.m. There, crews found a serious multi-vehicle crash involving a 2006 Toyota Corolla, a 2000 Chevy pickup and a Toyota 4Runner.

Authorities determined that Rachel P. Odima drifted into the oncoming northbound lanes and crashed her southbound Corolla into the Chevy pickup and Toyota 4Runner. Due to the impact, the Corolla overturned and landed in a ditch.

Odima of Clearfield, Utah, died at the scene and a 22-year-old Entiat female passenger in the Toyota 4Runner sustained an unknown injury.

It’s unclear whether the two Chevy occupants sustained any injuries.

Because information surrounding the cause of the crash is limited, investigators are examining this case further.

We’d like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Rachel P. Odima.
