Jimmy Keonhothy Arrested, Suspect in Fresno Deadly DUI Crash

Fresno, CA (August 28, 2020) – On Wednesday, a pregnant woman lost her baby and was severely injured, while police arrested the 22-year old Jimmy Keonhothy in a DUI crash on Bond Street and Olive Avenue.

The pregnant woman was driving a Toyota Camry in central Fresno around 2:30 p.m. when at the same time, a police chase approached the intersection.

Apparently, the pursued driver reportedly ran the stop sign and crashed with the Toyota. The impact resulted in major damage to both vehicles.

Rescuers pulled out the driver of the Toyota and rushed her to a hospital in serious condition. It was later confirmed that she lost her baby in the accident.

Police withheld the name of the pregnant woman as well as her current condition.

Meanwhile, authorities said the pursuit began at Tyler Street and Bond Street.

Police checked the area, and a vehicle that matched the description of a shooting suspect. The driver, Keonhothy, failed to yield to the officers.

Instead, he drove away at a high rate of speed. The suspect ran stoplights along Bond Street in an attempt to evade the authorities.

Keonhothy was treated at a hospital. Police later booked him into the Fresno County Jail on charges of murder, felony DUI and felony evading. Also, he was found to be an unlicensed driver.

Authorities are currently investigating the details of the crash.
