Pregnant Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Albertoni Street [Carson, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Albertoni Street near 91 Freeway

 
CARSON, CA (October 8, 2019) – A pregnant woman died in a pedestrian crash on Albertoni Street, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 9:30 PM. Due to unknown reasons, the victim attempted to cross the ramp on foot. There, a 2014 Nissan Murano struck the victim near 91 Freeway.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the Nissan driver, described as a 61-year-old Santa Ana man, remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
