Prajal Bista of Sacramento Dies in Vehicle Crash on Highway 16 [Woodland, CA]

Woodland, CA (April 17, 2022) – On Thursday, Prajal Bista, 33, of Sacramento, died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 16.

The traffic incident took place minutes past 11 p.m.

Reports said Bista was driving a westbound Honda Civic on the highway when his vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Impala whose driver was northbound on County Road 97.

The Civic struck a power pole on the intersection’s northwest corner, while the Impala struck a utility box and rolled onto its roof.

Responding officers declared Bista dead at the scene.

On the other hand, the paramedics rushed the Impala driver, a 25-year-old Woodland man to the UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries. 

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating this fatal collision. Investigating officers do not consider drugs or alcohol as factors in the incident.
