Two Hurt after Car Crash in Gridley on Gilstrap Avenue and Obrien Avenue
GRIDLEY, CA (June 17, 2019) — One unidentified woman was airlifted to the hospital Tuesday, following a car crash on Gilstrap and Obrien Avenue.
A white pickup truck reportedly collided with a United States Postal Service Truck.
According to reports, the white pickup was traveling west on Obrien Avenue when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and slammed into the southbound USPS truck.
Paramedics later found two individuals suffering from both moderate and major injuries upon arrival.
The pickup truck came at rest in a nearby water ditch. The female driver received treatments on scene and refused medical transport. They airlifted the driver of the postal vehicle by helicopter to Chico for precautionary reasons.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
California Highway Patrol officials said it’s still under investigation if the driver of the white pickup truck was under the influence drugs or alcohol.
