TRACY, CA (March 14, 2019) – Possible injuries were sustained in a hit-and-run crash on westbound 580 Freeway, Thursday morning.

State officials say the collision took place around 7:54 AM that morning. Authorities then arrived near Grant Line Road shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

Based on an initial report, two vehicles were involved in the accident. The vehicles were identified as a white Chevrolet Express van and a black GMC Yukon.

Furthermore, the driver of the van suffered possible stomach injuries. The other driver fled the scene before authorities arrived. Based on an assessment, the hit-and-run person was also part of the wanted list for a firearm offense.

CHP officers are still conducting an investigation to eventually determine liability, and help locate the hit-and-run suspect. Additional information has yet to be released.
