Jose Leiva Killed at Scene in Deadly Vehicle Accident on 60 Freeway

 
Hacienda Heights, CA (March 05, 2021) – On Thursday, Jose Leiva, 33, was killed and another was injured in a fiery vehicle crash on the 60 Freeway.
 
The two-car crash took place minutes after 5:30 a.m. at Hacienda Boulevard.
 
Apparently, an Infiniti rear-ended a Toyota Camry with a strong force wherein the two vehicles traveled about 100 yards and slammed into a wall.
 
A good Samaritan stopped and tried to save the Camry’s driver by trying to break the window from the driver’s side out.
 
Also, other drivers stopped and brought out fire extinguishers, however, they could not reach the Camry’s driver.
 
Then, the Toyota Camry’s engine compartment started popping.
 
Unfortunately, the Camry driver died at the scene while responders took the Infiniti driver to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Moreover, aerial footage showed the Camry engulfed in flames, with L.A. County firefighters working to stop the blaze.
 
Meanwhile, CHP investigates whether a third vehicle was involved in the accident or if the Infiniti was speeding.
 
Authorities issued a Sig Alert and several eastbound lanes were closed as of 10:30 a.m. Drivers were told to avoid the area.
