Hit-and-Run Crash on Avenue 43 Left Woman Hospitalized, Driver at Large

 
Highland Park, CA (September 4, 2020) – Police asked the public in identifying the driver from a hit-and-run crash on Avenue 43 on Tuesday.
 
The incident took place on September 1 at about 9:20 p.m.
 
Detective Juan Campos of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
 
The report said that the Toyota Camry was heading east on Avenue 43, just west of Carlota Boulevard. The vehicle fatally struck the woman who was standing in the middle of a street.
 
The woman’s identity has not been released however, medics took her to the hospital with severe injuries. Currently, she is in stable condition but Campos said, she will need to stay in the hospital for further recovery.
 
Witnesses said that the white four-door vehicle has a California license plate that begins with 8CH.

Search for Hit-and-Run Suspect

 
Police are asking anyone who might have relevant information in identifying the suspect.
 
Furthermore, Campos said that a $25, 000 will be given to anyone who can give information that will help in the arrest of the hit-and-run suspect.
