Apple Valley School Police Officer Hospitalized after Crash on Highway 18 in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, CA (January 26, 2023) – Tuesday morning, an Apple Valley School Police officer sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 18.
The two-vehicle crash in Apple Valley happened around 11 a.m. on January 26.
Reportedly, the officer traveling on Hwy. 18 responded to a call for service with lights and sirens activated.
As she approached the intersection, a second vehicle on Flathead proceeded through the highway. As the officer attempted to avoid the vehicle, she hit the back end and collided with a utility pole.
EMS transported the officer to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver also complained of pain, but it is unclear if they were transported to a hospital.
