Houston Police Officer Hospitalized after Crash at Memorial and Voss

Houston, TX (February 17, 2023) – On Friday, a police officer sustained injuries in a crash at Memorial and Voss involving a stolen car.

The crash in Houston happened on February 17.

Houston Police said the incident began when officers received a report of a vehicle that had been stolen from a hookah lounge near Hillcroft and Richmond.

Police then quickly spotted the vehicle and started to pursue it, but the vehicle continued to evade.

The lead cop, who was attempting a PIT maneuver in a safe location, struck a citizen’s vehicle while attempting to cross the junction.

EMS transported the officer to the hospital with some minor injuries, but the civilian remains unharmed.

Moreover, other officers apprehended the suspect driving the stolen car.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
