1 Hurt in Las Vegas Motorcycle Crash on Maryland Parkway
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 17, 2019) – A police officer sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Maryland Parkway on September 14.
The incident occurred around 4:22 p.m. on Maryland Parkway near Boulevard Mall, Lt. Jeff Clark of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed.
An officer in a motorcycle traveled north on Maryland Parkway. Meanwhile, a southbound vehicle turned left to the mall and hit the officer while the vehicle crossed in front of him.
Responders transported the officer to UMC with wounds that “appear to be minor in nature.” Moreover, the vehicle driver passed field sobriety tests.
Authorities advised motorists to anticipate the closure of northbound Maryland from Sierra Vista to Desert Inn Road into the evening.
