Police Officer Injured in DUI Crash on Telegraph Canyon Road [Chula Vista, CA]

DUI Driver Involved in Rear-End Crash near Paseo Ranchero

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 26, 2020) – A Chula Vista police officer was injured in a DUI crash on Telegraph Canyon Road on early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 12:40 AM near Paseo Ranchero.
 
Reports from the Chula Vista Police Department showed that the victim’s cruiser was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver in a Scion car. The driver then continued and struck a Honda CR-V that was stopped in the left-turn lane.
 
The paramedics said that the officer and three other people were to the hospital for treatment.
 
The unidentified driver of the Scion was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
