TOUTLE, WA (March 2, 2021) – Sunday, authorities arrested Dale Woodley Jr and Timothy Bean after an injury crash on State Route 504.
 
According to reports, a police officer sustained serious injuries after two people in a stolen van crashed into a patrol vehicle.
 
The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s office revealed that the officer from Castle Rock attempted to stop the commercial van which was reported as stolen. This incident occurred near the community of Toutle around midnight Sunday.
 
Then, upon stopping on State Route 504, the van driver reversed and hit the police vehicle twice. Thus, the officer shot at the suspects. However, no one was hit by a gunshot.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and a passenger escaped on foot. Then, authorities caught both of them.
 
Authorities identified the driver as Dale Woodley Jr. of Longview. Residents nearby detained him after he went into a trailer while trying to escape.
 
Meanwhile, a Longview Police K-9 located the passenger, Timothy Bean, and took him into custody.
 
Authorities booked Woodley into Cowlitz County Jail on suspicion of assault and other charges. On the other hand, authorities booked Bean on a possession of stolen vehicle charge.
