PIRU, CA – 1 Dead in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 126 Near Hopper Canyon Road

Fatal Crash in Piru Sends Several to Hospital

 
PIRU, CA (November 21, 2018) – A Tuesday afternoon crash on Highway 126 near Hopper Canyon Road left one person dead and several with injuries.
 
Around 4:35 p.m. crews responded to reports of a crash that involved a white work truck and a small red vehicle among several other cars. Responding crews reported one fatality and a person who was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia for treatment. Two people were also injured but declined hospitalization.
 
Authorities on the scene had to shut down the area for nearly three hours as investigations took place. Reports did not specify how the collision happened.
