LIVERMORE, CA (February 24, 2021) – Tuesday night, Pilot Josh Redsun and his father were involved in a plane crash on Isabel Avenue.
 
The incident occurred just after 5:00 p.m. on Isabel Avenue, an overpass over I-580 just north of the airport. According to reports, a small, single-engine plane crashed into a car after an emergency landing. The incident didn’t lead to any injury.
 
Redsun revealed that the plane reached around 500 feet, then began gliding down to the Isabel Avenue overpass above Highway 580. As it happened, the air traffic control lost contact with the place. Thus, they quickly released a call to search for the single-engine Mooney.
 
“We were just going over the overpass and we saw this plane teetering and using this overpass as a runway. Then it hit a car and we were just hoping everyone was ok and fortunately everyone was,” Reporter Juliette Goodrich revealed.
 
Moreover, the Federal Aviation Agency revealed that the crash involved a Mooney M20E. It’s a four-seat, single-engine propeller plane registered to San Francisco resident Maciel Cicero.
 
Until around 8:45 p.m., Isabel Avenue remained unavailable between E. Airway Boulevard and Portola Avenue.
