Person Injured, Marcus Williams Arrested in Imhof Road Crash [Ferndale, WA]

Ferndale, WA (August 04, 2021) – On Sunday, a person was injured, while police arrested in 37-year-old Marcus Williams in DUI crash on Imhof Road.

The fatal crash took place at noon at the 5200 block area.

Officers said two vehicles were southbound on Imhof Road. The vehicle in the front slowed due to coming upon a farm tractor about to turn right into a driveway. The following vehicle failed to stop and rear-ended the other vehicle.

As a result, the forward vehicle to flipped onto its side.

The flipped vehicle’s driver incurred a large head laceration. Rescuers took the driver by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the following vehicle, Williams, appeared to be slurring his speech.

Williams swayed while standing and struggling to answer questions. After declining a field sobriety test, They arrested Williams at the scene and transported to St Joseph Medical Center for a small cut over an eye. They also took him to hodpital for a blood warrant draw to determine his blood alcohol level.

Later on, they booked Williams into the Whatcom County Jail charged with suspicion of driving under the influence. He was released from custody today, August 2nd, on his own recognizance.
