Late Evening Collision with Semi Truck at Cajon Pass Injures One

 
PHELAN, CA (March 11, 2019) – A woman was hurt following a traffic collision between a semi truck and a sedan late Monday evening at the Cajon Pass.
 
The collision happened around 11:54 p.m. on northbound 15 Freeway, just North of Highway 138.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Chevrolet sedan hydroplaned and collided into the semi truck. The impact sent the Chevrolet into the center divider, pinning the driver side door against the k-rail.
 
A female occupant in the Chevrolet was trapped inside the car. First responders extricated the woman and took her to a hospital with injuries to the left arm and a complaint of pain to the chest.
 
The driver of the semi truck did not pull over, possibly unaware of the crash.
 
All freeway lanes were stopped during the rescue and clearing operations.
 
Authorities are still working on the incident and urging witnesses to come forward with information.
