Van Nuys, CA (February 5, 2023) – On Friday, Peter Escalante, 55, of Van Nuys, sustained fatal injuries in an Oxnard Street hit-and-run crash.

The fatal crash happened at 10:15 p.m. in the area of Woodman Avenue.

According to Los Angeles Police Department, a westbound vehicle struck Escalante.

This occurred as he crossed in a southbound direction on Oxnard Street. Unfortunately, he died at the scene.

The driver fled the scene right after the accident.
