Jonathan Petty Arrested in Deadly DUI Collision on Herdon Avenue
Clovis, CA (June 2, 2023) On Wednesday evening, 33-year-old Peter Binz of Clovis died after a tragic bicycle accident on E Locan Avenue.
According to CHP, the deadly DUI collision happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection with Herdon Avenue.
Reports say that 36-year-old Jonathan Petty was on a Dodge pickup truck that struck a westbound bicyclist on Herndon Avenue.
Officials say that Petty fled the scene, and went home without rendering aid to the fallen male bicyclist.
Authorities say that the bicyclist, identified as Peter Binz, died at the scene.
CHP arrested Petty on suspicion of hit and run and suspicion of DUI causing death. Officials say that Petty was driving with over three times the legal limit of alcohol.
