Redding, CA (December 26, 2020) – On Christmas Day, 32-year-old Jeffrey Kuhns of Redding accidentally struck a pedestrian on South Bonnyview Road.
 
The accident took place at about 1:20 a.m. while Kuhns was driving at Bechelli Lane.
 
Kuhns immediately stopped and called 9-1-1. He waited with the majorly injured pedestrian until responders arrived.
 
When rescuers arrived, they rushed the victim to a hospital.
 
Apparently, the pedestrian was in the roadway and not walking in the crosswalk.
 
At this point, authorities do not consider drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the incident.
