12-Car Hit-and-Run Crash on State Route 599 near Interstate 5
Tukwila, WA (February 20, 2021) On Thursday a person was injured in a 12-Car Hit-and-Run collision along State Route 599.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Rick Johnson, a woman was driving at high speed in the northbound lanes of State Route 599.
Moreover, this happened at about 6 a.m. North of Interstate 5, the female driver attempted to drive between a big rig and a car.
Unfortunately, she lost control of her vehicle and is the reason for the 12-vehicle wreck.
Moreover, the suspect driver got out of the wreckage and fled the scene.
Authorities believe that someone picked her up and got her off the scene.
Meanwhile, Trooper Johnson says a person suffered injuries from the crash.
Furthermore, authorities are still looking for the suspect and will possibly face felony hit-and-run charges.
State Route northbound lanes are closed for 2 hours and have been opened after 8 a.m. the same morning.
