Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Oakland
Oakland, CA (April 8, 2022) – On Thursday, minutes after 9 p.m., authorities received reports of a pedestrian who was fatally struck on Interstate 580.
Responding officers located the body of a person who was struck by at least one vehicle.
Officers declared the pedestrian dead at the accident scene.
The CHP closed the freeway’s westbound lanes for about 10 to 15 minutes before opening the roadway’s two left-hand lanes.
