Oceanside, CA (September 10, 2020) – On Thursday, one person was struck and killed by a semi-truck in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 5.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 2:30 a.m. near Mission Avenue.
 
California Highway Patrol said the pedestrian was in the middle of the southbound lanes when struck by a semi-truck.
 
Deputies confirmed the victim died right away. While the semi-truck driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation.
 
Meanwhile, the eputies are investigating why the victim was in the middle of the freeway.
