45-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Critically Injured in Accident on 5th Street

 
Eureka, CA (February 19, 2021) – On Tuesday, a 45-year-old male pedestrian was critically injured in a crash on 5th Street.
 
Authorities responded to the scene at about 6:23 a.m., at the intersection with Street.
 
Apparently, they received a report of an injury traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
 
When responders arrived, they located the victim on the ground with what appeared to be major injuries. Right away, they provided medical care and transported the victim to the hospital.
 
On the other hand, the 79-year-old male driver stayed on the scene and cooperated throughout the investigation.
 
Moreover, reports said that before the crash, the involved vehicle was traveling on 5th Street.
 
At the same time, the pedestrian was at the intersection with a stroller full of belongings. Just then, the pedestrian suddenly stepped into the roadway into the path of the oncoming vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, the pedestrian is still in critical condition.
