1 Injured in Sonoma DUI Accident on Highway 121

SONOMA, CA (October 5, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, a woman suffered injuries in a crash involving Pedro Garcia on Highway 121.

The incident occurred just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 121, south of Napa Road. According to reports, the unidentified woman drove a 1997 Toyota Corolla southbound at “an unknown speed.” Then, she went off the road and over-corrected back into the roadway. Then, she drove across the double-yellow lines and collided with a 2019 Ford E350 van head-on.

The 36-year-old van driver, Pedro Garcia of Fairfield, was uninjured. According to authorities, he wore a seatbelt during the crash. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that the weather played a role in the crash.

Meanwhile, responders transported the Corolla driver to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa with major injuries.

Upon release, authorities detained her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
