Sparks Police said a vehicle was trying to turn southbound onto Pyramid Way from York Way when the driver struck the pedestrian.

The paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers said the vehicle had a green light when the pedestrian crossed the street on a crosswalk.

Moreover, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation.

The authorities said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the York Way accident.
