Man Dead in Elko Pedestrian Accident
WELLS, NV (May 21, 2019) – A man was struck and killed on the 80 Freeway in a Wells pedestrian accident on Sunday, May 19.
The collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. According to reports, a pedestrian wearing dark clothes strolled in the travel lane on I-80 in Elko County around 16 miles east of Wells.
A Ford truck eventually struck the male pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the westbound driver struck the pedestrian. Due to the accident, the truck deployed its airbags. The driver and passengers didn’t suffer any injuries.
Meanwhile, the unidentified pedestrian died at the scene.
