1 Dead in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (May 10, 2019) – A woman died after a vehicle struck her on 5 Freeway in an Oceanside pedestrian accident on May 9.
 
Authorities received reports of the collision about 4:35 a.m. on 5 Freeway south of Las Pulgas Road.
 
According to a caller, a pedestrian walked north in the center divide of the southbound freeway.
 
The pedestrian died at the scene. Meanwhile, the involved vehicle driver stayed at the scene.
 
Authorities closed all lanes of the southbound freeway about 5:00 a. As of 7:15 a.m., the right two lanes stayed closed just north of Las Pulgas Road.
