Truck Fatally Hits Pedestrian in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (June 18, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a truck on Bear Valley Road early Saturday morning.
 
Officials said the fatal crash occurred in the 15700 block of Bear Valley Road between 9th Avenue and 11th Avenue. A truck hauling a watercraft hit the pedestrian at around 3:18 a.m. After that, the pedestrian ended up near the shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
 
The witnesses said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
The crash prompted the closure of Bear Valley Road in both directions while officials wait for the coroner to arrive and retrieve the body. Investigation of the crash is ongoing.
