Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Coffee Road [Modesto, CA]

Martin Gonzalez Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident near Taco Bell

 
MODESTO, CA (December 10, 2018) – Monday night, a 55-year-old unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed on Coffee Road. The man’s name has not been released as pending notification of kin.
 
Officials reported the collision at around 7:00 PM, just north of Orangeburg Avenue near a Taco Bell.
 
Modesto Police Department stated the victim was crossing from west to east with another pedestrian when he was struck by a 1990 GMC truck, driven by Martin Gonzalez. Officials could not locate the other pedestrian, as he left the scene before police arrived.
 
First responders immediately arrived and transported the male to a nearby hospital where he later died due to his injuries. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
 
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash following preliminary investigation.
