Man Fatally Struck by Bicycle in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 28, 2019) – A pedestrian struck by a motorized bicycle on H Street near San Miguel Way Tuesday succumbed to his injuries.
 
According to Sacramento Police, the 73-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when the 54-year-old man operating the motorized bicycle struck him.
 
Paramedics transported the 73-year-old victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. However, despite life-saving efforts, the victim died at the hospital.
 
The man riding the motorized bicycle was also hospitalized as a precaution.
 
As a result of the accident, crews closed H Street due to investigations. At this time, officials are asking the public to call the Sacramento Police at (916) 808-5471 if they have any additional information.
