RIVERSIDE, CA (October 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in lanes early Saturday morning in Riverside.
 
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. on eastbound 60 Freeway near 91 Freeway.
 
According to authorities, a male pedestrian was walking in the HOV lane when an unknown vehicle struck him.
 
Arriving units located the victim lying down on the roadway and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The driver that struck the pedestrian stayed and was cooperating with law enforcement.
 
It was unknown why the pedestrian was walking in lanes when he was struck.
 
An investigation is ongoing.
