SANTEE, CA (May 28, 2018) – A pedestrian was hospitalized Monday evening after sustaining serious injuries from a collision on Carlton Oaks Drive.
According to initial reports, the incident took place just before 11 PM near Darcy Court, just a few blocks southeast of the Santee Lakes. The pedestrian appeared to be lying in the roadway intentionally when struck by an eastbound vehicle. It is unclear why the person was lying in the road.
The unidentified victim was rushed to an undisclosed hospital after suffering serious injuries. The driver involved in the collision was reportedly unharmed and was cooperative with the investigators. Neither the driver’s, nor pedestrian’s, identities were disclosed by authorities.
