Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Roseville Road [Sacramento, CA]

Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Haggin Oaks Golf Complex

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 3, 2019) – A pedestrian was found dead after a hit-and-run crash on Roseville Road, Wednesday evening. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, they found the pedestrian lying on an embankment at about 5:05 PM.
 
Forensic examination by the SPD’s Major Collision Investigation Unit indicates that a southbound vehicle struck the victim near Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Investigators also believe that the collision happened several hours before they discovered the body.
 
Authorities encourage witnesses to call dispatch at (916) 808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000, police said.
