Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Jamacha Boulevard [Spring Valley, CA]

Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Jamacha Boulevard near Whitestone Road

 
SPRING VALLEY, CA (July 31, 2019) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Jamacha Boulevard, early Wednesday morning. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Whitestone Road, at about 2:10 AM. Due to unknown reasons, two vehicles struck a pedestrian near the intersection.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, one of the drivers remained and cooperated with investigators. The other driver did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area.
 
The CHP continues to investigate the fatal collision. Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
