Man Dies in San Leandro Hit-and-Run on Hesperian Boulevard
SAN LEANDRO, CA (October 10, 2019) — A man died Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run on Hesperian Boulevard near Lewelling Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident happened past 12 a.m. The man was walking westward in the northbound lanes of Hesperian Boulevard when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.
The officers said the victim was not in a crosswalk when the collision occurred. On the other hand, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the scene.
The authorities continue their investigation and search for the hit-and-run driver. They ask the public to call the Castro Valley CHP office at 510-581-9028 or the CHP Golden Gate Communications Center at 707-641-8300 for information regarding the case.
