Pedestrian Killed in East Riverside Drive Accident [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (April 14, 2024) –  A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries following an East Riverside Drive accident early Friday morning.

The paramedics responded at 2:30 a.m. to the pedestrian accident near the intersection with South Lakeshore Boulevard. Immediately, they provided CPR on an adult victim but they succumbed to their injuries at the crash scene.

Austin Police Department officers located the suspect vehicle close to the accident scene and arrested the male driver.

There is no update if he is facing charges. Troopers are still investigating the Riverside Drive accident.
