1 Person Dead in Santa Rosa Pedestrian Accident on Stony Point Road near Wilfred Avenue
SANTA ROSA, CA (November 29, 2022) – Monday morning, authorities confirmed that a pedestrian died in a crash on Stony Point Road near Wilfred Avenue.
The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Stony Point Road, south of Wilfred Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Ford Ranger struck a male pedestrian. Reports said that as the pedestrian walked on the side of the road, they suddenly walked into the roadway. Moments later, a second vehicle then struck the victim and then fled the scene without stopping.
Moreover, Sonoma Life Support pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Furthermore, authorities said that the vehicle driver that first struck the victim remained at the scene and called 911.
Meanwhile, officers asked anyone with information about the incident to call the authorities at 707-588-1400.
