LEMON GROVE, CA (July 28, 2021) – Tuesday night, a pedestrian died in a crash on Broadway and Sweetwater Road.
 
The incident happened just before 10:40 p.m. on Broadway, east of Sweetwater Road. Moreover, it happened underneath the bridges that connect state Routes 125 and 94, said San Diego sheriff’s Lt. William Amavisca.
 
At this time, additional information about the victim or the events that have led up to the crash remains unavailable.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities reported the incident as a hit-and-run. However, the deputies found the involved vehicle by 11:30 p.m.
 
At this time, the circumstances of that stop remain unclear. However, Amavisca did not know if the vehicle had escaped, stopped just after the crash, or stayed at the scene.
